Mr. Bee and I escaped last weekend to spend the day in Palo Alto. We were walking around in the city when I spotted a macaron and tea store.

If you're an avid reader of blogs, you know that macarons are the new cupcakes. Probably even trendier than when mini pies were almost the new adorable food, but then it didn't stick. Stop trying to make fetch happen!

Anyway, I dragged Mr. Bee in for a trendy bite to eat. And boy was it delicious! My favorite was either the red velvet or the salted caramel. You really can't go wrong.

Major noms.

The Most Informative Post I've ever Written

I wanted to write this after feeling INCREDIBLY old after reading this post on Twitter:

"Monica and Chandlers twins would be 9 this year, Pheobe's triplets 14, Ben 18 and Emma 11. Let's just take a moment to let that sink in."

Seriously? I'm THAT old?
So of course I feel the need to find out exactly what these kids are up to.

Ben Geller - Cole Sprouse

Emma Gellar-Green - Noelle & Cali Sheldon

Chandler Bouffay - Sierra Marcoux

Leslie - Allisyn Ashley Arm

Frank Jr. Jr. - Dante Pastula

You're welcome, fellow Googlers and Friends fans.

Golden Globe Fashion

I know this is lame, but I had the best time last night tweeting along to the Golden Globes. Twitter friends, I love you all lots.

The Golden Globes are about celebrating TV and Film, but more importantly, it's about the fashion.

Winner's Circle: Kate Hudson. Hands-down favorite dress. She looks amazing, and her dress is the right amount of "Almost Famous/I'm married to a rockstar/I look down-right hot". You go Glenn Coco.

Runner Up: Kerry Washington. She always look so put together, and her dress is the right mix of classic/polished/adorable. Also, I'd like her entire wardrobe from the show Scandal. If you have it, please mail it to me.

The Not-ness: Sienna Miller. For someone so cute and with such a great figure, she really did herself wrong. She looks like quilted toilet paper. Just no.

Runner-Up. Halle Berry. Actually, they might be tied.

Best meme of the night. Don't you make that grumpy face, Tommy Lee Jones.

Did you watch the Golden Globes? Who were your favorites?

It's so Fluffy Friday

Some days you just need something fluffy in your life. For me, it's a fluffy chicken. Happy Friday!

Some Days are better than Others

Some nights my heart breaks more than others. I'll be doing laundry and wish I was folding onesies. I love my life, but my life isn't complete.

Last night I had someone at a meeting complain to me about how mad she was to find out that her baby was a boy. She was so annoyed to find out that  her healthy baby wasn't the gender she wanted. And I wanted to break down right there. What I wouldn't give for a baby of either gender!

I don't want my friends to feel like they have to walk on eggshells around me, but I don't know what's going to set me off, and what won't. I know that I need patience and strength to get me through this time, but all the while the inevitability of the fact that I will never carry our children comes out of nowhere and every episode leaves me feeling more hopeless and sad than I've ever been before.

I can't give up hope, and I won't give up hope. My heart is hurting but it's still beating.

The Bachelor Picks

I swore I wasn't going to watch The Bachelor this year. Then I got a text from a friend who told me a girl we knew from high school was going to be on, so I felt obligated to watch. Pull my arm, why don't you?

Honestly, the drama is embarrassingly enjoyable, and there were a few girls that I liked. I'm not a huge fan of  Sean. I thought he seemed a little psychotic during Emily's season.

My picks so far:
Lesley - Political consultant, originally from the south, seems normal.
AshLee - She's a professional organizer. That's amazing. Although most guys might not agree.
Lindsay - Wearing a wedding dress was not the smartest thing in the world, but I'm all about taking a joke too far. I'll root for her for a bit.

Are you watching this season? Who are your picks?

Recent YA Reads (I'm totally an adult)

1. The Fault in our Stars - This may have been one of my favorite books of 2012. The writing slightly reminded me of Perks of Being a Wallflower (which is my favorite book and no, I haven't seen the movie). You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll feel 16 all over again.
2. Delirium - Delirium is a futuristic book about people who have surgery at the age of 18 so they never experience love.
3. Beautiful Creatures - This came highly recommended (and will be a movie soon), but I just didn't love it. There's love, curses, and general craziness. Oh, and 4 other books if you love the first one.
4. Here - I read this one by suggestion from Jenna over at Jenna's Journey. If you're a fan of twists and post-apocalpytic fiction, you'll love this. I read it really quickly, and best part ever, it's on super sale on Amazon for Kindle! There's also a sequel I'm looking forward to reading...

Friend me on GoodReads - I love to see what everyone else is reading!
