Shop Dandy iPhone Cover Lust

The wonderful Mr. Bee got me the iPhone 5 for my birthday! Now the huge dilemma - What cover to get?

My top-runners are from Shop Dandy. It looks like my color preferences are venturing darker for fall and winter:
Heart iPhone Case - Black
Ivy Wreath iPhone 5 Case
Tile iPhone 5 Case

*I was not paid for this post, I just think she's a darling girl and I love her store!

True Life: I completed the Heart Walk

A long time ago, I posted that one of my "bucket list" items was to complete a 5K. Then I was diagnosed with POTS Syndrome, and seriously thought that was one item that I'd never be able to cross off.

Since I've been getting better over the past few years, I've added it back on. And while the Northern Nevada Heart Walk wasn't quite a 5K (only 2 miles), I was still so proud that I was able to complete it. Mr. Bee has been walking with me at night and was there with my Reno Alpha Phi sisters while we tackled the heart walk yesterday!

Best trainer ever!
Here's a couple group shots.

To be honest, I feel awful today, but I'm beaming with pride that I'm getting closer to crossing that goal off. I'm working towards walking the Susan G. Komen 5K in October with Junior League, and hoping I'll be well enough to complete it.

Many of you know my dear friend Juliana from Blonde in a Blog is also an Alpha Phi with POTS (and also Lyme, immune issues, and heart problems) and is one of my biggest inspirations. I'm walking for her as much as for me. If you ever have any prayers to spare, please send them her way. She's an amazing friend and she's going through so much.

Oh How Pinteresting!

Today I'm linking up with the fab Vintage Apple for "Oh How Pinteresting!" Wednesday. There is just way too much on Pinterest to be obsessed with, but here are some of my most recent and most favorite pins!
Kind of redneck, but how pretty are these bullet earrings?
I want this print for my office

What's that, Tartan Shirt? You want to come live in my closet?
Crockpot Apple Butter. Bring it, Fall!
Love this bedroom color scheme.
I would die if I saw this at a wedding. Die. Absolute props to these folks.

Birthday Weekend Re-Cap

I'm happy to report I survived my 29th birthday! After a busy birthday day at work which included a hilarious office decorating job (including mullets, Justin Beiber, and giant, inflatable monkeys).

But the best part of my birthday (birthday week?) was the bounce house Mr. Bee surprised me with. Quick story - I'd been running around doing errands for our housewarming/birthday all day, and finally settled down to grab the mail. When I got there, I saw Mr. Bee talking to a few people in the front yard who were holding a tarp. Things finally came together, and I realized that there was a bounce house inflating in my front yard!! Mr. Bee wins #1 husband of the year award!

Love this guy

I'm still kind of flexible!

Later, we finally got to show off our new house to our friends! My college roommate came all the way from San Francisco, and brought along my sister too!

Jello Shots!
Work Friends
My Reno and SDSU Phi Gals (including the fabulous Jane from In the Pink and Green!)

We are so blessed to have so many friends and family members who care about us come to the party! I had a great 2-9, and I'm excited to see what this year brings. Hope you all had a great weekend too!

Obligatory Birthday Post

Since the beginning of time, I've been asked to give my mom a birthday list. It's even harder since I just moved into a house, and can't really ask for anything more.

Fav Fall Target Staples

Much to my mother's dismay, I love clothes from Target. And with fall being the best of all 4 seasons, the clothes are exceptionally awesome. Here are a few staples you can wear all autumn (and beyond) that I'm loving.
Mossimo Ankle Stretch Pants

I bought these pants a few weeks ago and just wore them for the first time. They're amazing. I actually went back and bought them in two other colors. I ended up wearing them to work, but I imagine I'll be dressing these up and down.

                                                                 Merona Pencil Skirt
For those of you who balk at animal prints - don't fear. There are tons of different patterns and colors for these slimming pencil skirts. I literally bought 5 of them, and anticipate wearing them with tights and booties as it keeps getting colder.

Merona Sleeveless Ruffle Top
These tops are great, and like all the other items, come in different colors. They look great under cardigans and blazers, and go well with pencil skirts. I'm always looking for the perfect ruffle blouse, and this is my holy grail right now.

I hope everyone is as excited as I am for cooler weather, sweaters, things that smell like pumpkin, and fall foliage!

How to fold a fitted sheet

Saw this online today and thought it was the most relatable tutorial on folding a fitted sheet. Enjoy!
