Sometimes, You've Gotta Read Trash

It's no secret I love reading. Books, magazines, blogs - love it.

After staring at a computer screen all day and reading reports, sometimes, you've gotta read trash. I have a stash of US Weekly with my name on it that I've been waiting to catch up on, and just got two new books for my Kindle.

1. Sweet Valley Confidential - I've heard this book is awful, but I couldn't not read it. I loved the Sweet Valley High books growing up, and I can't wait to delve into what the twins are up to 10 years later.

2. Good Christian Bitches - Ok, the name sounds awful, but have you been watching GCB on TV? Hilarious. Kristin Chenoweth is one of my favorite people of all time. I started reading this a few nights ago and I'm loving it.

What's on your reading list lately? Have you read either of these?

  1. I have almost downloaded the Sweet Valley book so many times! Haha I'm totally curious about it. Maybe I'll just have to read it.

GCB is my new favorite show. I didn't even know there was a book until Shasta posted about it. It's definitely next on my reading list.

Last night I finished Girls in White Dresses. It wasn't the greatest of books--kinda jumped around too much for me. I've heard White Girl Problems is a funny books, so I just barely ordered that one too.

  3. Ahhh the Sweet Valley Confidential as kinda traumatic for me with what happened in the plot. I was a devout SVH and SVU reader!

  4. That's what I heard, but since I read the old books I had to pick it up. I hope I don't regret it!

  6. Oh girl... I thought GCB the book was one part hilarious and two parts wtf. It was entertaining but at times I wondered what the heck was happening but I just went with it. Definitely enjoying the show more than the book but glad you are liking it! :)

  7. I read the Sweet Valley High book. I had to... I mean I read alll the other ones growing up. I mean it wasn't the best book I've ever read, but it was an easy read and neat because it referred to all the other books! It's certainly better than reading reports ;-)

  8. I really liked the sweet Valley High book--gave closure as to where are they now type thing. I owned all of Francine Pascal's books in the series of those rambunctious twins although Jess ending up with Todd was really hard for me to grasp.

I'm currently reading GCB right now --I'm on chapter 8 I really like the book!
