The Buzz on: Pumpkins and Scarves

It's finally fall!!! One of my favorite things about fall is pumpkins. Pumpkin food, pumpkin candles, pumpkin patches, you name it, I love it.

Last weekend Mr. Bee and I tried to go to a pumpkin patch and farm. It ended up being closed (on a Sunday before Halloween?!?) so we ended up going to a smaller one to walk around and enjoy fall.

Doesn't the pumpkin patch look amazing on my new iPhone 4S camera? Yes, I finally upgraded from the 3GS, and it was definitely worth it.

Yay new camera!

Me and my new scarf from my scarf swap buddy!

Amazing fall leaves

My lovely fall scarf is courtesy of Lindsey at Turtles and Pearls. She also sent me some delicious trail mix (that Mr. Bee promptly devoured) and a delicious-smelling pumpkin candle, which I've almost completely gone through. Thank you Lindsey!

We're hoping to go to the good pumpkin patch this weekend, so I'll have more pumpkin pictures next week. Get pumped up! We're also hosting a Halloween party tomorrow at our house. Can't wait to share pictures and see everyone's costumes! Happy Halloweek!

Another Hair Dye Post

Impulsive me really wants to dye my hair red again. So last night I played around with the iVillage.com makeover tool and scared the bejeezus out of myself when I donned a red hairdo and looked exactly like my little sister.

(Yes, I'm wearing a tank top. It's just hard to see - promise)

I guess I can never tell people we aren't related again (kidding!)

Here are some of my other fav redhead pics via Pinterest.

Just trying to avoid this again...

I Baked and No One Died: Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

For those of you out there with Celiac or a gluten sensitivity or people who don't eat gluten because of lifestyle choices - you are going to love this fall favorite. In fact, you'll probably love it even if you don't have gluten issues (Mr. Bee did!).

For years I've been the #1 fan of Trader Joes' Pumpkin Bread mix. I seriously have a stock pile in my cupboard, along with 10 cans of pumpkin. So today I finally decided to stop being scared of baking gluten-free and made Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread. And it was seriously the best pumpkin bread (gluten-free or not) that I've ever had. And I'm not a master chef, a top chef, or even a chef.

Here's the details.

Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread Recipe
(from the Namaste Vanilla Cake Mix package)

1 package of Namaste Foods Vanilla Cake Mix (or any GF cake mix)
3 eggs
3/4 cup water
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (I didn't have pumpkin pie spice, and improvised with a dash of nutmeg, ground cloves and cinnamon)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick spray
Combine pumpkin, chocolate chips, pumpkin pie spice, eggs, water and mix
Pour batter into pan and bake for 30-35 minutes
*Added bonus - because there is no oil, it's low fat!

Batter Up!

30 minutes to fabulous!

Hope you enjoy as much as I do!

Long Overdue BDay Pics

Some long overdue birthday pics.

I came into my office COMPLETELY decorated by my amazing friends. The highlight was the cutout from our asian concert dressed up in my chair, and Gary Allan's sexy birthday messages.

Later, I lived out my lifelong dream of crawling inside of a claw machine.

My friends took me to an amazing sushi place for lunch, and my BFF Christina was the cherry on my day. She flew all the way up from San Diego with 13 Chipotle burrito bowls! She must have had some amazing comments while getting through security. She just stayed for the night, but it was one of the nicest things someone has done for me. Love her so much!!

What did Mr. Bee get me? Oh, just the best present ever - A Bissell Pro Heat Steam Cleaner. JACKPOT!

The Buzz on: Fall TV

I was sick last week and got completely caught up on Fall TV. Thank god for Tivo! Here are some of my favorites so far.

Revenge
Who doesn't love a good suspense/drama about the scandals of a seaside town?

Gossip Girl
Ok, this show has gotten a little silly, but I can't stop loving it. The outfits? Blair's pregnant? Chuck Bass? Sorry, I'm still hooked.

The New Girl
I dont' love, love this show, but I'm pretty sure that Zooey Deschanel's character is based on me in real life. At least that's what I've heard from my friends. Ok, so maybe I do sing like I belong in a musical. So what? At least she's making it cool.

Pan Am
I really hope this show lasts. I love their outfits, and the plot is actually pretty interesting, bringing into play historical events, sub plots about the CIA and love problems.

What are you watching that I didn't mention? Anything good worth checking out?
