RIP Hair Straightener

This morning, to my frizzy hair's dismay, my hair straightener bit the dust. It looks like ponytails are a go for the next few days. I know that there's a ton of straighteners on the market, and I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to brand. I have pretty straight hair so I don't need it to work miracles, just take the kinks out.

Any suggestions?

RIP Straighty

  1. I once read someone say "Give me Chi or give me death".... I've had mine for years and it's never let me down!

  2. I have a Sedu and I love it, but I know there are some other great ones out there too. I would go to They have really good reviews on there :-)

  3. I have had the same Chi since I was 15 ( I am going on 23). Every now and then it gives me fits (like when it won't get hot enough or I am having an extra bad hair day and it just won't get my nappy curls straight enough). During one of said fits, I got a new chi. this was about two years ago. It was the international 1 inch little black one. I liked it but it quit working after about 2 months. I don't think they make them like they use to!

But in the end, my oldie, it has never failed me. It is the 2inch Chi Turbo and it's old and covered in hair spray gunk... but never fails me! All my friends make fun of my ancient straightener, but it's the only one that works on my hair. My sister has a Remington one she got at Target for about $50 and it works decently on my hair. Like I said, I have very curly hair though. Good luck to finding your new straightener. Mine is my best friend in the mornings! :)

  4. I had the chi and it was good, but then I got the GHD and it is true love. I have wavy FRIZZY hair and it works a miracle. It is pricey but worth every penny.
