Blog Day of Silence for Summer

Summer from B is for..brown, breathe, believe has gone through so much this year and just lost her father. She's an amazing girl and my heart breaks for her. When her dad was diagnosed with cancer this year and she posted this video surprising him on Father's Day I totally bawled my eyes out. I can't imagine the pain of losing my parents, and can't even begin to think of what she is dealing with. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts today.

The Buzz on: Snow Boots???

We've had 65+ mph winds and rain here today, which brought me to the realization: it's actually going to snow. And I have nothing except stilettos, 2 pairs of flats and some Ugg boots. So snow friends, do I really need snow boots? Here are some I've picked out, but obviously I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing or looking for...

Or, am I better off just getting a cheap pair of snow boots and getting some waterproof rain boots?

For reals, no clue what I should be looking for. But regardless, there are pumpkin muffins in the world. It's all going to be ok.

Weekend Re-Cap: Bees and Blondes

Have I mentioned lately that I love fall? I love fall. This weekend I volunteered at the Junior League Pumpkin Festival and had a blast working the pumpkin painting booth and decorating with all the little kids. Seriously, some of the cutest children ever. This was my grouchy "I didn't have my Starbucks yet" pumpkin.

Mr. Bee even came out for a while so we could pick out our pumpkins.

Eleanor spent most of the day at daycare, and then as a treat I took her to the park to go play in the fall leaves. She wasn't sure if she liked it at first, but then she got in the spirit of the season.

Doesn't she look like a little deer in this one?

I also extreme makeover'd my hair and went significantly blonder. Yes, I know you're supposed to go darker for fall, but I'm trying to bring some San Diego blonde out to the wild west.

Hope everyone had a great weekend too!!

The Buzz on: Anthropologie Kids

Hold on to your ovaries, this post is cute-overload. Anthropologie started a Kids section, filled with clothes, books and toys that are beyond adorable. Some of my top picks (and one mistake).

And books!

And...this?

Sure, kids love boxes. So do cats. But I sincerely doubt I will ever buy my child or cats a $58 cardboard with holes in it, which is what this is until someone proves me wrong. There are plenty of great milk cartons in the world left sad and discarded with no one to poke holes in. Don't buy into this one!

The rest of the Anthropologie Kids is pure amazing. There's even (gasp) child-sized aprons! May be stoking up on some of these for the future. Hellooo secret baby clothes hoarding closet!

The Buzz on: Wildlife

I took a nap today and woke up to a giant hawk sitting right outside my window. I am definitely loving life in a place where the leaves are changing color and there's wildlife right outside my door. I would like to request that it stays outside, and doesn't try to all come in my house like last weekend.

Here's some wildlife weekend love:

Also, if you have time, please visit this blog and share your thoughts and prayers with Leslie and her family.
