Our House, is a Very, Very, Very Fine House

Except our cats will never be in the yard, because they are indoor cats.

We are really excited to move into a house together. Since the housing prices are so expensive in San Diego, we've only been able to afford renting an apartment/condo. Our new house is a 3 bedroom/2.5 bathroom with a small backyard. It's in a really cute, safe neighborhood which has lots of dog-friendly hiking trails. The layout is a little strange and may be a bit of a challenge to decorate, but we're up for it.

Here are a few photos:

The owner actually said that the previous owners modeled the kitchen after seeing Kirstie Alley's kitchen on Oprah. I just looked it up - pretty similar (at least the tile is).

I'll definitely be posting more in the upcoming weeks and once we're up there - decorating ideas are appreciated! The two guest bedrooms are small and one has a murphy bed, and there are two "living room" areas that are a little awkward. Anyway, it'll be a work in progress and I can't wait to live there when it is actually snowing. Who thought I'd live somewhere it snows again?

  1. I love the look of your house! Esp those tiles...that green color is so pretty!

  2. I am OBSESSED with your kitchen it is beautiful!

  3. That tile in the kitchen is SO pretty! :)

  4. How exciting! Love the kitchen...

  5. I LOVE the kitchen! Such an adorable house. Have so much fun decorating and making it your own!

  6. Thanks for all the kitchen comments! I was so worried it was going to be over-the-top, but once I saw it in person I fell in love with its charm. Think Mr. Bee will let me add a whole bunch of pink items and make it a Lilly-inspired kitchen?
