Dogs, News, Bridesmaids and Embarrassing College Photos

I was really hoping that 2010 would be a year of being a good blogger. That I'd be able to blog at least 4 times a week. I've had a bunch of setbacks and I apologize about my lack of commenting and responding. I really do read all of your amazing comments and am so grateful to have such a great group of blog readers who support me and lift me up when I'm down. Pat yourselves on the back - you're amazing!

I promise that in the very near future I will be a good blogger.

I have to wait a day or two to reveal the big news, but it's been a constant stress in my life and I have a ton of change coming my way. If you follow me on Twitter you probably have an idea, but I hope I can come clean on here soon.

In the meantime, last weekend I took the train up to see my family and their new puppy, Gracie! Gracie is a 3 month old Olde English Sheepdog and a total love bug. It took me every ounce of restraint not to put her in my suitcase. Look at this face!

I got to spend a very relaxing day with my family enjoying the nice weather and playing with Gracie, who is one of the silliest puppies I've ever met.

In other news, my sorority sister who was my roommate all through college is getting married and I was asked to be her bridesmaid! I'm so happy I'll be there to support her through her special day. We did some of the silliest things in college like riding our couch cushions down the stairs in the sorority house, spontaneous dance parties and songs, and basically just getting in to trouble. I'm so happy that she's found someone she wants to spend the rest of her life with.

I literally can't believe that my best friend is getting married, that I'm married, and just a few years ago I was able to drink wine out of a bag.

Life is funny, and I'm trying to stay positive and hope everything works out for the best. I have faith that everything will work out the way it should.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
       I will counsel you and watch over you.
Psalm 32:8

  3. Things will work out as they're supposed to. Isn't it crazy how fast we as people change and how different our lives are now than 1 or 2 years ago, let alone 5! I keep this quote on me as a reminder that even if things look lemoney, God has a tall glass of lemonade in store.

    "I know what I am planning for you," says the Lord. "I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future." -Jeremiah 29:11

  4. Ashley - I know, Gracie is definitely the show-stealer in this post! And I hear she's in the market for a boyfriend. Hope your little guy is here!

    MCW - I love stories like that! It's definitely one of the best parts of being in a sorority - all the random things you did in college.

    MrsFord - Thank you for the quote - it was really appreciated. I know your life has changed so much too, you're definitely a role model for me when it comes to moving and going with the flow!
