Diesel-Doggie

Yesterday I lost my sweet "dog brother" Diesel. He passed away in his sleep on Saturday night. I am heartbroken, but I take peace in the fact that he was playful and had his wonderful, goofy personality until the end, and didn't spend his last days suffering. Coming to my parent's house will never feel the same without his 100 lb. body jumping up to kiss my face and his love of car rides and sticking his huge face out my sunroof.

I'll miss you my handsome boy, but I know you're running around in doggie heaven chasing squirrels and eating hamburgers.

  4. He's a lucky boy to pass in his sleep. I hope we are all so lucky! Losing a long-time pet is so, so hard. But it does get better. It helped me to grieve my Prissy by getting a dog bone charm with her name engraved and donating a bunch of cheapy fleece blankets to the local animal shelter.
