The One About Kids in Inflatable Hamster Balls and Banjos

I haven't been blogging and I only feel slightly guilty because I've been feeling awesome lately (for me). I'm getting back into the swing of things at work again, running errands, spending time with my husband and living my life. I'm still having some setbacks, but (knock on wood) nothing as bad as being housebound for 3 months.

This weekend one of my favorite friends came down for a visit, so some of my Alpha Phi buddies got together for brunch at the Firehouse.

Afterwards, Mr. Bee and I headed to the mall to replace his sunglasses, which were stolen last week when someone broke into his car. Long story short, 3 guys broke into cars at our complex last weekend. Two of them were caught, but the one who broke in my husband's car made out with my CD's, some old medication, my husband's cologne, a credit card, and his sunglasses. Fortunately the car wasn't damaged and though the guy ended up charging $1300 on his credit card at a local surf shop, we were reimbursed. Just a note: if you are reading this and you stole my husband's things, my husband would like 5 minutes alone with you.

Anyway, the point of that post is that while we were waiting for his new prescription sunglasses, we came across a wading pool filled with kids in inflatable hamster balls. No joke. In fact, to prove that I'm not kidding, I took a video. I hope this makes your day as much as it made mine.

This morning, my busy day consisted of a morning at dog park, feeding ducks and eating sandwiches at the beach, a trip to Home Depot, and buying a banjo. Yes, I actually bought a banjo. My husband had taken my guitar in to get restrung and while we were picking it up I fell in love with a banjo. Video will be posted as soon as I learn how to play the song from Deliverance.

Life is pretty amazing right now.
